There are many designated quiet areas throughout the Pere Marquette State Forest which make for excellent bird watching sites.
Morel Hunting
Morel hunting is great fun for the whole family. Similar to the easter egg hunts, the morels are carefully hidden by mother nature throughout the Pere Marquette state forest.
Backpacking
Backpackers may choose from hundreds of trails throughout Ranch Rudolf and the Pere Marquette State Forest. Rivers, hills, streams, flatlands, forest and fields, choose your way and enjoy the hike.
Fall Colors
Fall is a great time of year to spend time at the "Ranch". Take a horseback ride high up into the ridge overlooking the Boardman River and Pere Marquette State Forest to see the colors at their fullest. Take advantage of a beautiful fall day of canoeing, we offer a 4 mile trip or a 9 mile trip. Top off your day with dinner and a private hay ride for your group of friends or family.
