The Wrangler:
One Hour Long Trail Guided Ride (first come, first served basis).
Times: 10:00, 11:30, 1:00, 2:30 & 4:00.
Must be at least 8 years old and 4 1/2 tall. This is a walk/trot ride.

The Bronco:
Two Hour Long Trail Guided Ride (reservations required) 4 person minimum.
Must be at least 9 years old and have riding experience. This is a walk/trot/canter ride.

The Cowboy:
Three Hour Long Trail Guided Ride (reservations required) 4 person minimum.
Must be at least 10 years old and have riding experience. This is a walk/trot/canter ride.

This is for children 3 to 7 years old. The horse must be lead by a parent. This is a walk ride.

Overnight Camping With Your Own Horse

See camping for rates. $10.00 deposit per horse. Enjoy endless miles of trails through the Pere Marquette State Forest. The Ranch is also located on the Michigan Shore-to-Shore Trail.
Children's Horse Camps
Ranch Rudolf is proud to offer youth instructional camps. Camps are offered ranging from the novice, intermediate, and advanced levels of experience.
Barn Buddies
June 22-25, 2009
Time: 9am-12pm (morning group)
1pm-4pm (afternoon group)
*Please note these are two seperate sessions
Children will have a real hands-on experience in which they will be matched with their own horse to learn basic skills such as grooming, handling, leading, and how to care for their horse. Basic western riding lessons will be taught by instructors and mentors, students who have completed previous horse camps at the ranch, will also be available for extra assistance. A strong emphasis will be placed on safety, both on the horses and in the barn.

Novice Horse Camp
June 15-19 and August 10-14, 2009
Time: 9am-4pm
Students will be assigned their own horse to work with and care for during the duration of the camp. No prior riding experience is necessary as we start with all the basics including grooming, handling, leading, bridling and saddling, and basic anatomy. Students learn about the importance of safety as well as the responsibility and hard work it takes to care for a horse. Basic western riding lessons will be taught in both an enclosed area and on the trails.

Intermediate Horse Camp
July 20-22, 2009
Time: 9am-4pm
Students must have either completed Novice Horse Camp or have had 1 year of horseback riding lessons in order to enroll in Intermediate. We will get into more than just the basics of western riding and time will be spent in such areas as improved balance, increased control, and the transition between gaits.

Advanced Horse Camp
July 27-29, 2009
Time: 9am-4pm
Back by popular demand! Students must have completed Ranch Rudolf's Intermediate Camp to enroll in Advanced Camp. In this camp we will fine tune Western Riding Skills learned to this point. At some point each student will work individually with an instructor who will help with specific riding strengths and weaknesses.
